Notehold

Automatic, integrity-checked Apple Notes backups for macOS.

I made Notehold because syncing notes through iCloud is useful, but it is not the same as keeping independent, dated backups. Notehold saves the complete local Notes database as ordinary ZIP archives in a folder you choose.

It is a free, open-source command-line utility. The GitHub project has the current installation instructions, technical details, and recovery guide.
